Assistant Director of Nursing

Lillington Health and Rehabilitation Center in Lillington, NC is seeking a qualified individual to join our team as the Assistant Director of Nursing.

What you'll do

· Support the Director of Nursing in providing leadership and oversight to the nursing team.

· Assist in developing and executing plans to meet departmental goals and objectives.

· Monitor patient care delivery and clinical outcomes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.

· Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards, including state and federal regulations.

· Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, professional growth, and employee engagement.

· Partner with Human Resources to recruit, onboard, and retain top nursing talent.

· Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify opportunities for improvement and implement strategies to enhance patient care and safety.

· Perform other duties as required to provide exceptional care to each resident.

What you need

· Active, unencumbered licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in North Carolina.

· Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

· Strong clinical knowledge and expertise in nursing practice and patient care.

· Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and lead a diverse team of healthcare professionals.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Highly organized and detail oriented.

What you'll do

  • Provide individualized care to residents according to each resident’s plan of care.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ALDs) including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
  • Assist with mealtime activities, including feeding residents as needed.   
  • Assist residents with mobility, including transferring and positioning them safely.

Update resident and family on wound status. Provide leadership and supervision to nursing staff, ensuring high-quality care delivery.

What you'll do

  • Supervise, coordinate, and direct the work of nursing assistants (CNAs).
  • Provide individualized nursing care to residents according to each resident’s plan of care.
  • Assist in the admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.
  • Administers prescribed medications and treatments as ordered by the physician.
  • Explains procedures and treatments ordered to gain patients’ cooperation and allay apprehension.
  • Observe vital signs to detect deviations from normal and gage progress of the patient.
  • Maintains patients’ medical record on nursing observation and action taken, such as medications and treatments given, reactions, tests, intake, emission of liquids and solids, and vital signs.
  • Records nursing needs of patient on care plan to assure continuity of care.
  • Observes emotional stability of patients, expresses interest in their progress, and prepares them for continuing care after discharge.

Certified Dietary Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Certified Dietary Manager to join our team, to lead our food service operations and ensure the highest standards of food quality, safety, and nutritional care for our residents.

Certified Dietary Manager Responsibilities:

Oversee daily food service operations, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, CDC, State and Local Regulations)

Develop and implement menus that meet the diverse nutritional needs of our residents, including modified diets

Supervise and train kitchen and dietary staff, fostering a positive and efficient work environment

Manage food costs, inventory, and purchasing to ensure budget adherence and cost-effectiveness

Monitor food safety and hygiene practices, ensuring adherence to standards to prevent foodborne illnesses

Collaborate with nursing and and medical staff to address the dietary needs and concerns of residents

Maintain accurate records of meals, diets, food inventory, and other relevant data

Participate in ongoing professional development and training to maintain current knowledge and skills.

Manage dietary staff, including scheduling, training, and evaluation.

Contribute to the overall well-being and satisfaction of residents through exceptional food service.

Qualifications:

Current CDM certification

Proven experience in Dietary Management, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

Experience with food safety and sanitation regulations, and in developing and implementing food service policies and procedures.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Knowledge of nutrition principles and the ability to apply them to the development of menus and meal plans for individuals with specific dietary needs.
