Occupational Therapist, OT, PRN

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST

MUST BE A GRADUATE OF AN ACCREDITED PROGRAM AS AN OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST OT, HAVE TAKEN THE NBCOT EXAM OR ELIGIBLE TO TAKE IT AND HAVE A STATE LICENSE TO PRACTICE AS ONE OR ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR ONE.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Assesses the needs of residents with occupational therapy needs and matches their needs with services available. Meets with residents regularly according to treatment program schedule, evaluates, and maintains records of residents' progress.

Reports progress to management and family members and meets with them on a regular basis to discuss.

Repeats evaluations on a regular basis to measure progress according to professional guidelines.

Keeps current with professional literature and attends seminars on a regular basis to maintain and update professional skills.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Hearing ability sufficient to evaluate residents' occupational therapy needs.

Skill communicating verbally and in writing with residents and family members so that all parties understand the program and the degree of progress being made.

Occupational Therapist Assistant OTA COTA FT MUST HAVE 2 YEAR ASSOCIATES DEGREE AS A COTA

Lillington Helath & Rehabilitation Center  is seeking a caring and dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join an outstanding rehab team. Our therapists experience the daily joy of enriching the lives of others, while building genuine relationships with patients. The COTA is responsible for implementing treatment programs established by the Occupational Therapist in accordance with all state and federal regulations. They collaborate with facility staff to promote the highest practicable physical, mental and psychosocial well-being for the residents.

Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills.
    Demonstrates effective problem-solving skills.

  • Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA) will hold licensure as outlined by the Board of Occupational Therapy in the employment state.
